resource configuration screens. In this situation the staffing requirements of the sports centre can often be
reduced from two people (one to deal with the bookings, and one to run the centre), to just a single person.

available time is offered to the callers, and the system frees the staff from the often resource sapping peak of

Clearly this scenario applies to many recreational facilities e.g. tennis and squash courts, snooker tables,
etc. Please note, the resources must be of the same type, so if you
have 3 tennis courts and 5 squash courts, you would need one phone line for tennis court booking and one
line for squash court booking. If the court is general purpose e.g. a frequent example is a tennis court that
can also be used as a 5 A'side pitch, then only one line is required.
Professional Services
A physiotherapist practice has 3 physios. Bookings with them can be either half
an hour or an hour long and between 9am and 5pm every weekday, and 9am and 1pm on Saturdays.

Again, ReserVoice is perfect for dealing with these bookings. If any physio is unavailable (e.g. a day off, on
holiday etc.) then simply create a booking for that day, so no one else can. And
remember, bookings can be taken 24/7/365, not just during office hours.
It is also possible for a member of staff to take bookings when they are available to provide a more
personal touch, and to redirect to ReserVoice when no one is available.

This scenario applies to any person or small firm that offers access to consultancy time, for example IFAs,
tax advisors, accountants, doctors, dentists, hair dressers or solicitors. In general it applies to any
consultancy where it may not be cost effective to hire a full time secretary, or where the secretary can
more gainfully be carrying out other tasks.

Equipment Hire
A school has 3 minibus's but for much of the school holidays they are not in use. By using ReserVoice, they
can be hired out generating significant extra income for the school, at minimal cost.

In this case, bookings are lucrative, but may be infrequent so it would not be cost effective employing someone
full time to take bookings. When the resource is in use by the school, it can be booked out so no one else
can book it at that time. This also provides a booking system for the school themselves to prevent clashes.
When someone has made a booking, a caretaker can make sure to be on hand to deal with client.
Similar Scenarios
Anyone that has one or more resources that they wish to hire out. Examples include lorry, crane, tool,
plant and marquee hire. Cutting secretarial overhead especially where 24/7 bookings are required, or bookings may be
infrequent is a major benefit of ReserVoice.
Tradesmen
An electrician spends most of his time out on calls, and a dedicated secretary is unfeasibly expensive.

Here where the caller does not necessarily know the duration, you would probably set a duration length
of an hour. If required we can add a specific question to the
call, for example "Please give a brief description of your requirements". Then for example, at the end of
each day, the electrician can access the new bookings, listen to the answers to that question and adjust the
booking durations accordingly.

Similar scenarios would be plumbers, engineers, window cleaners, pest control etc. In general,
these are people who don't necessarily have an office, and are out in the field a lot. The facility to
check bookings via the web is vital. We are also working on the ability to use the phone to check up
coming bookings.
Exhibitions
In order to prevent long queues and disappointed customers a popular exhibition wants to allow 5 people at
a time to begin their viewing at 30 minute intervals. Unlike the previous scenarios though, they can
spend as long as they like inside the exhibit, so obtaining their booking duration is not required.

ReserVoice allows this by letting you set the minimum and maximum durations to the same value. Then if you
uncheck the setting called Confirm Duration, the caller won't be asked for it.
Similar Scenarios
A very similar scenario is golf tee off times, where the duration is not known beforehand - all you need
to obtain is the date and start time.
Resource Pooling
Four neighbouring companies share a pool of two fork lifts. They may be required any time of the day for
between 30 minutes and 8 hours.
reservoice
In this scenario it is highly unlikely that all of the companies will have compatible existing
booking software. ReserVoice can provide this functionality, along with a phone interface which may be
more convenient for the end users.
Using operators in this instance would be extremely expensive with 24 hour coverage required, which of
course ReserVoice already takes care of.

Anywhere where, normally expensive, 24 hour coverage is required, ReserVoice can provide a cost effective
solution. In this case, with no staff looking after the facilities, each company must be able to independently
access the resources.
Future Developments
We are constantly striving to improve our offering. In particular we are working on the following areas
and specific markets:
- Allowing bookings for multiple days. Typical applications would be for yacht charter, or
multi-day equipment hire.
- Full Customer provisioning. We will shortly be offering full provisioning, where your new
customers (or your staff on their behalf) can register all their details by web or phone and be given
a unique ID number for speedier future bookings. Passwords and caller line identification will be
offered as verification methods.
- The restaurant market. This is more advanced than our standard offering as the table sizes available
would need to be configured and we would need to determine the number of people that are booking.
- The hotel market. Here multi-day bookings and a host of specific questions such as room
type will be required.
- The ability for administrators to phone up to retrieve all their bookings, rather
than just using the bookings screen over the internet. This may be useful in the yacht
charter example above where internet access is not always available.
